Christmases have such a long, exciting build up that once Boxing Day is over, I always find it quite a shock to the system to go back to normal. Call me crazy, but I love spending a day or two after Christmas to have a really good sort out, a new years clean, if you will. I love beginning a new year fresh and organised, so at the end of the year I like to get rid of anything that I no longer want, to make room for all of the lovely new things that I received over Christmas.
I’m going to write the typical Christmas gifts disclaimer here- I’m writing this post because I’m super nosy and really enjoy reading them myself. I’m very grateful for everything that I received and count myself so lucky to have people who love me enough to have bought me such gorgeous things, but my intention is not to brag or to show off, just to write the kind of post that I know a lot of people find interesting! I’m also not going to include photos of some of the gifts, as I’ve been a little eager in their unboxing (some clothes are in the wash, some candles have already been lit, you get the picture…).
My parents paid for me and Jamie to go to Winter Wonderland with them, which I’ve already written about here. They also bought us a few joint presents and some lovely food, clothing and Ted Baker beauty products. A few relatives gave us some money so that we can choose our own gifts, I got some lovely Disney PJs from one of my best friends, and some perfume and cosmetics from other family members (you can really tell my favourite things are Disney and anything beauty!).
Jamie spoilt me absolutely rotten this year and completely surprised me with a Gucci belt and Ted Baker coat (which I’d never have asked for, but have really wanted and absolutely adore) and a huge No7 skincare set. Alongside some Charlotte Tilbury beauty products, and GHDs (which were on my list).
As I mentioned, I’ve already eagerly used quite a few of my gifts (you will definitely be seeing more of the Film Star Bronze and glow in my monthly favourite posts) and I absolutely love everything I’ve been gifted this year. I hope you’ve had the most wonderful Christmas and have been given some lovely presents too! Now if you’ll excuse me I’m off to Instagram and some other blogs to have a nosey at some more of the gorgeous gifts you’ve all been getting!
Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and I’ll see you in 2018!
