DIY Valentines With Printiki (+ free shipping!)*

Its the 1st of February (how?!) which means that Valentines is only a fortnight away!
I’m someone who has always been a huge sucker for sentimental gifts. Don’t get me wrong… I’d never turn my nose up at the traditional Valentines roses, champagne truffles or jewellery (especially if it’s engraved), but there’s something so sweet about Valentines gifts that have really been thought out. I’m thinking DIY gifts like handwritten poems, or anything that has been inspired by the best parts of your relationship… photo-albums or scrapbooks of your time together. I sometimes find it difficult with what to gift my male partner, Valentines gifts are so often tack designed for men to gift women and not the other way around! My boyfriend is just not going to appreciate flowers in the same way as I would, there are only so many watches one guy needs, and if I bought him Valentines teddies or balloons I think he may just laugh!

Printiki Valentines

Scrapbooks, photo albums and memory boxes are very gender neutral… what romantic doesn’t want to spend their Valentines day looking back at all of their relationship highlights with their partner? Photos, old cinema tickets, holiday wristbands, the list goes on, anything that is sentimental to you as a couple can be stuck in! I decided to make a scrapbook for my partner, and also found this gorgeous Emma Bridgewater photo album which is perfect for Valentines!

Printiki Valentines

Printiki kindly gifted me a code to order 30 prints, and I had so much fun looking through pictures of me and my partner, choosing my favourites, and reminiscing about all the amazing holidays we’ve had and fun times together! I chose to print mine as square prints in size medium, they’re almost a polaroid style which looks great in the scrapbook that I bought from Paperchase. 20 photo prints is only £5.50 (use code 9C87Z9QM for free delivery on me!) and I paid £8.50 for the classic looking scrapbook. What other thoughtful and sentimental gifts can you get for £14 that you and your partner can love and cherish forever!

The best thing about photos is that they can also be sentimental without being romantic, so if you’re someone who likes to gift family and friends on Valentines day too, then a framed printed photo of a memory with them is the perfect little gesture! The more photos you order, the cheaper they work out per print, so I got some great prints of memories with my god-daughter and some pet images to give to family members too! If you want any more inspiration on what to do with your prints then check out Printiki’s Instagram page where they have tonnes of great ideas!

Head over to Printiki and have a look at what they offer, there are some great ideas on their site and don’t forget to use voucher code 9C87Z9QM for free delivery too! Happy Valentines!

Product samples were gifted to me. This does not in any way effect the opinions I have expressed, which are always honest and my own.

  1. This is such a good idea! I did a Valentine’s gift guide which was full of alternative ideas like this instead of just buying gifts, I’d much rather make memories with my partner than just buy him a new top because I feel I’ve got to buy something! I’ve made him a scrapbook before and he loved it!

  2. I really loved this post Sophie. I absolutly love printing out my pictures – all year round. I also love making yearly scrapbooks so this has given me some motivation to do some more. Great post!

  3. I definitely agree about a lot of Valentine’s gifts being designed for men to gift to women, but us ladies need to treat the men in our lives too, right?! Personalized DIY gifts always mean the most to me as well, they really show that thought and love has gone into them! These prints from Printiki are perfect, I sure would love to receive them!

  4. Looove this idea! I bought a scrapbook a few years ago and was putting it together back then but sadly didn’t have time to finish it – I really should! I’d love to see him open the present and look back at the pictures of our holiday etc together and see his face! It’s such a wonderful gift 🙂

  6. What a lovely idea. The personal touch makes a world of difference, it really shows the time and thought that someone has taken over their gift. And your photos are fab, so nice to see the work in progress. I hope he appreciates it (I’m sure he will!) X
