*Fair Squared Beauty: Travel Edit

This Saturday I’m venturing off on my first holiday of 2018, a short stay in Halkidiki, Greece. Although I’m one of those strange people who quite enjoys packing and is ready to go nearly weeks in advance, I do struggle when it comes to selecting what beauty products to take with me. When I’m at home I like having six different foundations to choose from based on how my skin looks that day… my shower hosts a variety of gels because I like to change it up, but apparently packing a variety of every product for a five-day trip is unnecessary. Can you just picture my eye roll?

When it comes to loading up my suitcase, my struggle with overpacking and a desperate need to save space combined with just how cute I find them means that miniature products are my absolute saviours. Recently, Fair Squared (a brand which is not only Vegan but Fair Trade too) very kindly sent me a few of their products to try. As soon as I unboxed their Intimate Shaving and Amenities sets I knew that they’d be absolutely perfect to take and use on holiday! Both of these would be great for anyone who travels as they provide you with perfectly sized essentials!

Intimate Shaving Set

I’m pretty selective about my beauty products, and even more so when it comes to razors and shaving creams. I have quite sensitive skin, accompanied by the joy of being prone to razor burn and general irritation caused by shaving. As a result, I felt it necessary to try out the Fair Squared products before packing them as my only holiday option.

Unboxing the razor itself left me with mixed feelings: although I was thrilled by the diddy size of it and how convenient it would be to take with me, I was worried that it would be difficult to handle. Honestly, I also slightly feared the quality of the razor, my usual go to is the Venus range which has gel bars.. so I found the Fair Squared razor swap a little daunting. Not only was the razor itself a big change up for me, but I was also curious about how I’d find the shaving oil and gel, as a pose to my usual shaving foam. I’m happy to report that all of my initial worries were an absolute waste of time! I’ve been getting on really well with the oil, gel, and razor. The only slight drawback I’ve found is that the razor doesn’t have any kind of cover to protect against the blade, so when packing it, I haven’t been able just to throw it in my cosmetic bag, its been stored separately for a fear of rummaging around in the bag forgetting that there’s a naked blade!

Amenities Set

Another super handy set, I’ve already packed the body lotion, shampoo, and shower gel! I have to say, I find it a little odd that Fair Squared has opted to include a liquid soap rather than a conditioner, and I haven’t packed this with me (I’ll definitely have my trusty hand gel though). This hasn’t put me off the set and I do think that I’ll maybe carry the liquid soap around in my bag on a day to day basis as I think that it may be one of those things which could come in handy at the most unexpected of times!

I’ve absolutely loved my first experience with such a fun and ethical brand, and would definitely recommend checking them out, especially if you’re also off on any travels soon! If you are, then you may want to check out my Travel Beauty Must Haves post too!

What are your travel plans for this year? Have you got any must know travel tips or products? I’d love to hear them!

  1. I love these little products, perfect for holidays and travelling! 💖 I like the razor too, it’s really compact! I’m off to Italy on Sunday so have been buying some travel items, these would have been perfect though. I hope you have an awesome holiday in Greece Sophie! ☀️ 😎 xx

  2. These products are so cute and perfect for travelling! I’m the same when it comes to packaging, I have so much make up and beauty products I can’t decide what to choose, so I end up packing just a little bit extra haha. But with foundation, I usually try and take it in a sample box so I save up on space, especially when you only have a carry on. Hope you have an amazing time in Greece! xx

  4. I can definitely relate to the struggle of taking everything I need when traveling! Miniature products are actual gifts to travelers – perfect for squeezing in the bag! The razor is so nice and tiny – though perhaps they should think of including a cover for it so you can toss it in your bag easily!

  7. I absolutely love those mini-cosmetics! I like to carry them with me when I want to go out with friends (well actually not a shower gel, but maybe hand conditioner an so on), but often, if I go on vacation, I‘m kind of away for weeks, so I actually need the original sized products.
Since the beginning of this year, I‘ve tried to go for the fair trade, bio and vegan products, and especially those which weren‘t tested on animals. I kind of go the feeling that my skin got better too since switching my everyday cosmetics.
Hope you have/had a great time in Greece my dear!
